3K K-ONNECTION

With the merger, two leading Kaprun companies – Gletscherbahnen Kaprun AG and Maiskogel Betriebs AG – have merged into one unit.
With this connection, the Kitzsteinhorn can now be reached directly from the center of Kaprun.

As a first step, the Maiskogelbahn, a 10-seater single-cable gondola lift to the Maiskogel, was opened in December 2018. A year later, the 3K Kaprun-Kitzsteinhorn-K-onnection from the Maiskogel to the Kitzsteinhorn started operations. Salzburg’s first three-cable gondola lift now takes guests from the Maiskogel directly to the Langwied area on the Kitzsteinhorn.

Since December 2019, it has been possible to reach the summit station on the Kitzsteinhorn directly from the center of Kaprun via the Maiskogel with a 12-kilometer panoramic ride.
